An 'Oxford Symposium' is taking place at the Quaker Meeting House on St. Giles. It is basically concerned with encouraging the individual to take responsibility for his/her actions in society and in the world, recognising the interdependence of people on each other and on their environment and also for informing themselves correctly of the issues involved. Issues such as organic farming, seasonal produce and air-miles will probably crop up so definitely worth checking out. This organisation tends to pick up big speakers, so watch this space for further details.
